My attempt at making a short. I didn't realize until now that the dimentions need to be different! Live and learn. Hopefully you find this mildly useful, regardless.
Homelessninja Shoulder Rehab
Переглядів 54Місяць тому
Sorry for the audio. I just started using a new mic. Bare with me and I'll have it figured out in another video or two. These are the exercises that have helped me the most with shoulder rehab. Talk to a physical therapist or doctor if you have shoulder issues. This video is just to show you what has helped me.
Headgear?🥊

Train your toes!

It is important to train away all imbalances, including weak toes! Which is a problem for most of us.
How hard should we spar?

An easier and potentially safer way to categorize sparring.
My experience with Power Slap League 👋

I had a really positive experience with Power Slap League. Here's basically what happened!
Thank you Nate Diaz for tweeting me getting slapped silly lol 🙏👋 #powerslap

Possibly the coolest thing that's ever happened to me (being tweeted by Nate Diaz, that is; not the getting knocked out part lol).

I think shoulder and body sparring is enough for someone who doesn't want to compete in boxing, it is nowhere near traditional sparring but thats the closest without brain damage. you have to choose one or the other.
One of your eyes says brain damage 😅😂
That joke was almost as good as your boxing!
I'd say wear head gear with a nose guard. Those in particular in my experience absorb the blows rather well
Your brain still shakes inside the skull. Those gear only prevent cuts.
I joined many fight camps when i was training for kickboxing and i was sparring a lot … i gained a lot of experience, but in end i only have headaches rn
Sorry to hear that, man. Take care of yourself.
Karate punches especially shotokan ones can work against boxers too. A sensei said karate also has effective punches and hand strikes with greater force and combos too if you manage a good distance control.
Brother you have a video about CTE and now you are on Power Slap? Please save yourself.
Now this is a move that I can really get behind!
😅😅😂
This is Sparta 💀
What if my coach requires me to spar even when I'm getting injury
If you trust your coach, then do as he says. If you're injured and you know that your coach is wrong to make you spar, then you need to stop training under that guy and find a new coach.
I like and would love to see more of this type of content.
Why!!????
Bucket list, and money lol
Getting ready for this huge turd 😅.
She is so athletic it's amazing.
Every boxer should see video footage of the Elderly Muhammad Ali.....and then be asked if hard sparring is worth the risk ?
On days when my lower back hurts a lot, cat-cows really help it bend again! Good tutorial! meow moo!
It's good to see you back. Sorry about the shoulder.
Thanks. It's almost healed though!
there's nothing more entertaining and worthy experience wise that to land a punch at the right time, on the right target and stop the punch right in the target without putting excessive pressure on said punch. You're basically on god mode. And you control emotions too (fear being the main one). If you monkey fight at full force it's like a bar brawl and there is no training value on it, only adrenaline. This is what my gym is teaching me "It's harder to land a controlled punch than to land a hard one". And this is what I go by. No value in messing the face and the brain of a young kid. Now all the brawl people can roast me, I don't care. 9 times out of 10 the controlled guy is the most dangerous one.
I’m starting my MMA Journey soon and I’m wanting to go to Thailand to train Muay Thai and I never knew how much money you really needed but this video helped me out a lot thank you so much dawg, Future welterweight champion☝🏽☝🏽
I used to have this opinion and stopped wearing headgear for a couple of years, when I put headgear back on it became very clear immediately that it absorbs such a huge amount of the shock of punches and I was an idiot for letting people convince me it was counter-productive. Anyone reading this who is used to sparring without headgear, chuck on headgear and notice the difference, it's night and day. You really should be wearing headgear guys, just my opinion but I am a guy with well over a decade of experience and skin in the game if that means anything to anyone.
The reason I didn't notice this at first is probably because I wasn't actually getting hit that much to begin with so not wearing the headgear is convenient if you're not going to get hit. When I started sparring proper fighters it became more of an issue, and I found that with the headgear on I don't actually get hit more than I would otherwise despite the difference in peripheral vision or extra size it adds to your head but it certainly does a lot to protect your head. My 2c for what it's worth anyway
Thank you for the video! Do you perhaps have some tips on where to go to thailand? Do you recommend Bangkok to train or rather the beaches?
God said “nah these kids ain’t gonna disrespect me I’m cutting their years to 120 and they still won’t see half that because they eat too much” 🌩️ ⚡️ 😵
Thank you bro 🙏🏾
If you box, spar light and dont do it all the time. Hard spars should be occasional and not regular.
lmao. certainly a part of the human experience
What if you want to do it for a year?
Look at the Thais for sensible sparring
good job coach
Just wear mma gloves all the time when you leave the house then your hands will be protected
Kind of annoyed that I've never heard a coach say "medium sparring" before
There's this guy they're always putting me against who seems to want to tear my head off by the way he spars, even in small exercises he's trying to decapitate me with all the strength his body can muster.
That sounds awful. I recommend you tell your coach, and maybe politely tell the teammate too, that you don't feel comfortable training with him.
That’s why the first thing you should do before paying up is asking, “can I train here without sparring?” If they say no, cool, keep looking for other places, there are plenty out there.
@@Malenia_BOM exactly
helpful vid bro. U look way different from ur pfp
Yeah I think that pic is from like 11 years ago. It's probably time to make some updates!
This should be tought in every classroom
I dont think its common people got beat all the time
Ayyyy found your channel finally
So you don’t get brain damage from punching things? Just getting punched?
Yeah. Just from the head trauma 🤕
Nice video🎉 I would love you to finish about how much it costed you the second trip for eight months. 🍻 Mate.
Thanks😊 0:18
Hey Chris. This is Karter from Full Armor. It's good to know you are doing well. We all miss you at the dojo!
Hey bro! I miss you guys too! Hope all is well. I hope you're still training hard!
Nice video! Thank you for answering
Yeah man good luck with your training!
Why don't people use Headgear? Can this be the solution?
Great question! I'll make a quick video about it.
Headgear only protects against cuts and face damage, not concussions. In a way, it can worsen concussions because it makes the head heavier, blocks a bit of eyesight etc So sparing light is still necessary
So basically boxing gym owners are fking morons. No wonder MMA and grappling is becoming more popular then boxing. They struggle as a business to beign woth, and most people don't want to be fighters anyways. Why subject them to hard sparring and lose a potential customer? If you're ego is so big you get offended by some newbie who doesn't want to spar hard you deserve to go bankrupt.
You think people don’t get CTE in MMA lmao…😂
Try the 90/10 formula, 90% power to the body and 10% to the head. We barely tap the head and smash each others stomach's. We also spar with 16oz gloves, headgear, and a mouthguard. It gives you the feeling of hard sparring without putting your brain at risk lol.
Great advice
good tips
takes some balls to do something like that, much respect brother!
1:28 Pain does not exist in this Dojo, does it?!
Great video, brother osss!
Oh thanks bro. I don't even remember what I said in a lot of these old videos. I wonder if I'd still agree with old Me 🤔
people forget you can drop someone really easily with a liver shot...but we always go for the head for some reason...body shots are devastating!
I like how he says the grappler, the boxer etc. can bite and kick to the groin too. LOL
